:: January 12, 2012 Mujica's agenda of priorities until 2014 With the presentation of economist Pablo Montaldo, Penitenciary Commisioner of the Parliament Alvaro Garcé and the Ambassador of Switzerland in Uruguay, Hans-Ruedi Bortis, CADAL organized the third edition of Foro Latinoamericano Punta del Este at Hotel Boutique AWA. On this opportunity, the priorities agenda of president José Mujica were analyzed: public security, competitivity and state reform. The 2012 edition of the forum was sponsored by Embassy of Switzerland in Uruguay and hotel boutique AWA, and the support of El País, Centro de Convenciones La Torre de los Profesionales, Cámara Uruguayo Alemana, Atlas Economic Research Foundation, Estancia turística-bodega Lagunas del Catedral, hotel Europa from Montevideo, bodega San Huberto and Jujuy In Apart Hotel from Rosario.

:: December 9, 2011 Book presentation in Santiago de Chile of ´´Diplomacy and Human Rigths in Cuba´´ Besides from Gabriel Salvia, compilator of the book, the assistants were former Cuban political prisoner José Ubaldo Izquierdo, the Ambassador from Czech Republic in Chile and Egardo Riveros, Chairman of Centro Democracia y Comunidad. Political Analyst Patricio Navia, professor at Universidad Diago Portales and New York University commented on the book.

:: November 17, 2011 Argentine economy 2012 from the vision of an economic journalist The presidential strengthening, the new cabinet, the Government's political use of legislative majority, the struggles within the power, the eventual advances over institutions and the mystery of the ideology backing the economy were some of the points analyzed by journalist Hugo Grimaldi to comprehend the third Kirchnerist period. :: September 14, 2011 X-Ray of current discontent in Chile Patricio Navia, one of the most influential political analysts in Chile, referred to the student's demonstrations, social movements, and the Chilean discontent with the social market economic model in function in the country since the military dictatorship, the arrival of the right wing to power after 20 years of center-left government of Concertación, the challenges of President Piñera in the building of a modern right to leave behind the ghost of the dictatorship, the difficulties of his first year and a half in government and what explains the current discontent in Chile. :: September 3, 2011 Legislative Transparency Awards Ceremony Related to the publication of CADAL's Document number 122 on “The access to public information of Argentine legislators”, the Executive Committee decided to ask its authors to give awards and special mentions for legislative transparency 2011, in a ceremony that took place on september 2. The award was granted to senator María Eugenia Estenssoro and the special mentions were for her coleagues of the Senate Gerardo Morales and Sonia Escudero, and representatives Laura Alonso and Héctor Piemonte.

:: September 1ro, 2011 Political and economic balance of the first year and a half of Mujica's government With the participation of analysts Adolfo Garcé and Horacio Bafico, CADAL organized a new edition of Foro Latinoamericano Montevideo. The forum was moderated by Ricardo López Göttig, analyst and member of CADAL's Academic Council, with the sponsorship of Centro de Convenciones La Torre de los Profesionales and Atlas Economic Research Foundation; in partnership with El País newspaper, Bodegas San Huberto and Boutique Hotel AWA from Punta del Este; and the support of Perspectiva magazine. Businessmen, journalists, professionals and foreign diplomats attended to the event.

Journalist Carlos Mira was in charge of the moderation of the meeting that was sponsored by Bodegas San Huberto and Plataforma Democrática.

:: June 28, 2011 The quality of expenditure and of the public administration in the City of Buenos Aires The candidate for Chief of Government of the City of Buenos Aires, Ricardo López Murphy, was invited for a presentation at the "Meetings with Politicians Series" at CADAL's office. Besides the theme of the presentation, López Murphy gave a detailed explanation of the different aspects regarding local politics. The Series Meetings with Politicians is an event of the Program of Regional Political and Economic Analysis of CADAL with the aim of creating a space for analysis, debate, exchange and thinking on subjects regarding democratic governance, economics and institutions in Argentina and Latin America.

:: June 16, 2011 Electoral scene 2011 in Argentina With the participation of political analyst Carlos Fara, as a guest speaker, CADAL organized a new meeting of Foro Latinoamericano Buenos Aires. Among the participantes were officers of the embassies of Germany, Austria, Spain, Great Britain, Norway, Poland and Czech Republic. At the end there was a honor toast sponsored by Bodegas San Huberto.
Carlos Fara is specialist in public opinion, electoral campaigns, communications strategies and government marketing. He has been awarded with Premio Aristóteles to Excelence 2010, in acknowledgement to the work he conducted in the elections of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, being part of the Dream Team comprised by the world best 10 consultants for public campaigns.
