Defense of the Freedom of Artistic Expression

The exercise of freedom of artistic expression in Latin America continues to have a high cost for those who dare to defend it in defective democracies and, even higher costs, in authoritarian contexts. In this regard, for CADAL, cultural manifestations function as a thermometer of the democratic health of our countries and, for this reason, the main objective of the alliance with Freemuse is to monitor, document and make visible the violations of freedom of artistic expression in Latin America. .

Artists in exile

A podcast produced entirely by CADAL, focused on the uprooting of Latin American artists, managers and creators. These are stories that tell, in first person, what it means to be forced to indefinitely leave the country of origin, for reasons of political harassment and censorship.
