From September 12 to 14th, Hernán Alberro, Programs Director of the Center for the Opening and Development of Latin America (CADAL), participated in the 6th Latin American Conference of Think Tanks: “A Bridge over Troubled Waters and Turbulent Times.” CADAL was one of the four Argentine think tanks invited to participate in the conference, which brought together 70 representatives of various regional organizations.

The conference was organized by the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) at the University of Pennsylvania, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (Germany), and the University CLAEH (Uruguay).

The conference not only explored the ways in which think tanks make a difference and find solutions to contemporary political issues, but also how they can be increasingly relevant in these turbulent times. In addition, the conference centered on sharing effective strategies to attract funding, establishing key contacts, taking advantage of new technologies, and responding to growing public scrutiny and unease.
