CADAL took part in the Conference Transition Scenarios in Cuba at Mexico D.F.

Gabriel Salvia, Chairman of CADAL, was invited to participate as a speaker at the Conferencie Transition Scenarios in Cuba, organized by Konrad Adenauer Foundation at Mexico D.F.

On Monday, December 4, Gabriel Salvia, Chairman of CADAL, was invited to participate as a speaker at the Conferencie Transition Scenarios in Cuba, organized by Konrad Adenauer Foundation at Mexico D.F.

The Conference focused on the following subjects: Alternative futures in Cuba (Juan J. López), The role of opposition and its strategies for change (Marcelino Miyares, Javier De Céspedes, Oscar Visiedo and Francisco de Armas), Economic scenarios (Frank Priess), Tension between stagnation and renewal: an approach on the Cuban regime after the transference of power on mid 2006 (Hernán Yanes), Cuba in the international context: the possible role of other countries in the transition process: Latin America, Mexico, United States and Europe (Gabriel Salvia, Cristián Castaño, Carlos Saladrigas and Susanne Kass, respectively). Finally, the closure of the conference was in charge of Ana Covarrubias, who spoke about Cuba in the region from a Mexican perspective.
