A decade after the declaration of Viña del Mar

''Forum Freedom and Democracy in Latin America: A Decade after the Declaration of Viña del Mar''.

CADAL, the International Committee for Democracy in Cuba (ICDC) and Instituto Manuel Oribe organized this November 1 in Montevideo the "Forum Freedom and Democracy in Latin America: A Decade after the Declaration of Viña del Mar". The event took place in the Legislative Palace of the Republic of Uruguay and had the presence and participation of former presidents, current parliamentary members and human rights activists. One of the aims of the Forum was to adopt an initiative to promote a continental campaign demanding the Cuban government the fulfillment of the agreements it signed at Viña del Mar.
