Is It Too Late for Justice? Nazi War Crimes Before 21st-Century Courts

Villages destroyed, civilians executed, soldiers massacred. Crimes committed in Italy between 1943 and 1945 that only received judicial responses in the 21st century. In this masterclass, Judge Marco De Paolis – who led many of these trials – offered first-hand insight into their legal and human significance from the perspective of contemporary humanitarian law.

The event was organised by the Master’s Programme in Europe–Latin America International Relations at the University of Bologna and CADAL.
