Czech diplomat receives award in Prague

As part of the 19th edition of the Forum 2000, Frantisek Fleišman received in the Žofín Palace in Prague the Award to Committed Diplomacy in Cuba from 2013 to 2014 from Cuban democracy activists.

Frantisek Fleišman is the winner of the 2013-2014 edition of the Award to Committed Diplomacy in Cuba, which CADAL organizes since 2008. The announcement was made last May 25 and now in Prague the Czech diplomat formally received the award from Manuel Cuesta Morua, spokesman of Arco Progresista of Cuba.

Fleišman, who had received 167 votes and was nominated by 11 different groups and leaders of the Cuban civic movement living in different parts of Cuba, was very grateful for the award given to him by a group of Cuban democracy activists who attended the 19th edition of the Forum 2000.

The president of the Center for the Opening and Development of Latin America (CADAL), Gabriel Salvia, attended the award ceremony in Prague.
