Organized by the International Institute of Human Rights - René Cassin Foundation and the Faculty of Law of the University of Buenos Aires - with the support of the French Regional Cooperation for South America, the Institut Français Argentine, the French Embassy in Argentina, the Banque Populaire Alsace Lorraine Champagne, the Caisse d'Epargne Alsace, the Hermès House and the Center for the Opening and Development of Latin America (CADAL)- this session will deal with the theme "Women's Rights and International Human Rights Law." This training will allow the key players in the subcontinent to benefit from excellent training in Spanish.
This interest is explained by the fact that Latin America is one of the regions of the world that had the most serious violations of Human Rights in a relatively recent period. On the other hand, the region has become stricter in the protection of human rights thanks to the growing activity of the Inter-American Protection of Human Rights and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (CIDH).
The aim of the session in Buenos Aires is to offer a Spanish and French speaking audience to develop professionally in the legal area, as well as in human rights organizations and law enforcement, and to have access to quality teaching in the field of International Human Rights Law. This is to contribute to the promotion of this field of national state institutions and their jurisdictions.
The simultaneous Spanish translation of the lectures carried out in French will allow the participants to easily understand the points made by the European experts and to develop without problems in the practical classes.
The session is open to students, lawyers, judges, members of the armed and security forces, government officials, members of non-governmental organizations, etc.
