CADAL and Instituto Millenium from Brazil publish a report in Portuguese

The Center for the Opening and Development of Latin America (CADAL) with the support of Instituto Millenium from Brazil published the Portuguese version of 2008 edition of the research report Democracy, Market and Transparency. Instituto Millenium is a think tank of research, diffusion and training on public affairs of government, politics, economics, society and culture, promoting values and principles of a free society.

CADAL (Center for the opening and development of Latin America) with the Millenium Institute of Brazil support, published de portuguese version of the 2008 edition of the research report Democracy, Market and Transparency. Instituto Millenium is a center of studies, investigation, diffusion and training on public affairs of government, politics, economics, society and culture, promoting values and principles of a free society. Its mission is to promote democracy, market economy, rule of law and freedom. The inform is the same in its contents than the spanish version but fully traduced to portuguese, making it handly for latinoamerican readers from Brazil.

With the publication of the research report "Democracy, Market and Transparency" CADAL raises that the pillars to achive development are three: democratic freedom, market economy and government transparency. In this way, states that can define themselves as developed must guarantee each of this three which are necessary for political, economic and institutional progress. For the elaboration of this report researchers used the data appearing in 2008 edition and the following publications: Freedom of the World, by Freedom House; Índice de Libertad Económica, by Heritage Foundation and Wall Street Journal; and Corruption Perception Index, by Transparency International.
