CADAL presented a request of access to public information before ANSeS

Adrián Lucardi, Associated Researcher at CADAL, presented a request of access to information before the Federal Administration of Social Security (ANSeS). The request refers to the decree 1172/2003 of access to public information, that obligues those entities operating under jurisdiction of the Federal Executive Branch to give information to any person who requires it.

The request refers to the decree 1172/2003 of access to public information, that obligues those entities operating under jurisdiction of the Federal Executive Branch to give information to any person who requires it. The information should be delivered between 10 days after the presentation of the request, though in exceptional cases another 10 working days are approved.

The objective to CADAL's request is to know the share participation that the organism has gained in different private companies after the nationalization of AFJP (Pension Funds Administration) on December 2008. More specifically, CADAL wishes to know:

1. If ANSeS had a share participation in some company before the sanction of the law 26.425, that created the Integrated Pension System of Argentina (SIPA);
2. What are the companies where ANSeS has adquired share capital with the sanction of law 26.425, and which was the participation of ANSeS in each of those companies (that is to say, what is a percentage of shares it controls);
3. If between 04/12/08, when law 26.425 was sanctioned, and 15/04/09, ANSes adquired or sold shares of any company; and
4. If because of the share it controls, ANSeS has named members in the board of those companies. In that case, CADAL also wished to know the names of those designated and in which companies they are.
