Completion of the 2012 Germán Sopeña Programme

The 12th edition of the programme, which took place from August 23rd to October 25th at CADAL’s headquarters, aimed mainly at providing its attendants with the practical and theoretical tools necessary to succeed in the media as well as in the domains of institutional relations, the press, public, foreign or corporate affairs in the business world, the public sector and civil society entities. A total of 10 lessons were delivered throughout the programme with the participation of a number of speakers, among them Tristán Rodríguez Loredo, Néstor Scibona, Hugo E. Grimaldi, Fernando J. Ruiz, Alejandro Rebossio, Facundo Etchebehere, Hernán Maurette, Pablo Sánchez Liste, Pablo Marcó, Daniel Martini and José Montaldo.

A total of 10 lessons were delivered throughout the programme with the participation of a number of speakers, among them Tristán Rodríguez Loredo, journalist, economist and Executive Director of the Christian Association of Business Directors (ACDE); Néstor Scibona, columnist in the economic section of the La Nación newspaper; Hugo E. Grimaldi, Director of Journalism at the “Diarios y Noticias” (Newspapers and News) Agency (DYN); Fernando J. Ruiz, profesor at the Faculty of Information Science at the Austral Universty and autor of the book “El señor de los mercados: Ámbito Financiero, la City y el poder del periodismo económico, de Martínez de Hoz a Cavallo”; Alejandro Rebossio, correspondent of the Spanish El País newspaper in Buenos Aires; Facundo Etchebehere, Director of Corporate affairs at Danone Argentina; Hernán Maurette, General Manager of Public Affairs at Nidera; Pablo Sánchez Liste, Director of Corporate Communication at Peugeot Argentina; Pablo Marcó, Communications Manager and RSE at Nobleza Piccardo; Daniel Martini, Communications Director for the ENDESA Group in Argentina and Communications Manager of the electric company EDESUR; José Montaldo, Manager of International Affairs and Regulation at Gas del Norte; Hernán Alberro, journalist and programme Director at CADAL; Gabriel C. Salvia, journalist and CADAL’s General Director.

The participants who completed the minimum attendance requirements and are entitled to the programme’s certificate will also be able to apply to take part in the Germán Sopeña Prize Competition. Applicants will be required to hand in an essay combining the subjects of information management, analysis and research based on one of the questions included in the “Barómetro Legislativo Agenda Económica e Institucional 2012-2013” in Argentina. The text needs to be about 20 thousand words long and the hand-in deadline is on January 31st, 2013. The winner will be announced on CADAL’s 10th anniversary celebration day and the prize will consist of either a paid internship or a research scholarship of a total value of $3000 working for the Institute for a duration of two months.
