Trade in the Americas, regional blocks and economic development

On Wednesday, March 28, CADAL and Cámara Nacional de Comercio y Servicios del Uruguay organized in the latter's headquarter in Montevideo, a seminar on “Trade in the Americas, Regional Blocks and Economic Development”, with presentations by: Dolores Benavente, Karen Tramontano, Néstor Scibona and Raúl Ferro.

On Wednesday, March 28, CADAL and Cámara Nacional de Comercio y Servicios del Uruguay organized in the latter's headquarter in Montevideo, a seminar on “Trade in the Americas, Regional Blocks and Economic Development”, with presentations by: Dolores Benavente, Karen Tramontano, Néstor Scibona and Raúl Ferro.

The event, with over a hundred assistants, was sponsored by Radio Sarandí 690, Infonegocios, Cámara de Comercio Uruguayo- Argentina and Perspectiva magazine.

The first panel was in charge of the economist Dolores Benavente, who refered to “The challenges of Uruguay to enter the international commerce", and the journalist Raúl Ferro, who analyzed the “Free Trade Agreements in the Americas ”.

In the second panel, the analyst Karen Tramontano gave a speech on “The US trade policy towards Latin America ”, and the journalist Néstor Scibona described the “Trade and Economic Performance of Mercosur”.

The opening of the seminar was in charge of Gabriel Salvia, Chairman of CADAL and the presentation and coordination was in charge of Sofía Rodríguez, responsible of the Institutional Area of CADAL in Uruguay.
