''Uruguay: a second Chile?''

The journalist Claudio Paolillo offered a presentation entitled ''Uruguay: A Second Chile?'', at a private meeting at CADAL's headquarter.

On Friday, February 16, the journalist Claudio Paolillo offered a presentation entitled "Uruguay: A Second Chile?", at a private meeting at CADAL's headquarter. Claudio Paolillo is Director of the influential weekly "Búsqueda", from Uruguay and author of the best seller "Con los días contados", a book that analyzes the crisis suffered by Uruguay between 2001 and 2002. Paolillo began as a journalist when he was 17 and since then he worked in different media organizations in Uruguay, among them: "El Día", "Tiempo de Cambio", "Opinar", "Convicción", Agence France Presse, CX-30 La Radio, CX-14 El Espectador and Emisora del Palacio. He is Regional Vice-president of IAPA, he was associated professor of Journalism at ORT University in Uruugay, where in 1998 he was recognized with the award for "Teaching Excellence".

Among the audience for Claudio Paolillos's speech were the assigned ambassadors in Uruguay from Austria, Slovenia and Ireland as well as diplomats from Norway, Sweden, Bulgaria, Finland and Germany.
