Chile’s 2017 Election Campaigns

With political scientist Patricio Navia as guest speaker, the latest Foro Latinoamericano Buenos Aires, organized by CADAL, centered on analyzing Chile’s election prospects. The forum took place at Universidad del CEMA.

The event was moderated by Sybil Rhodes, Director of the Political Science and International Relations Department at UCEMA and Vice President of the Center for the Opening and Development of Latin America (CADAL).

Patricio Navia

Patricio Navia holds a doctorate in political science from New York University. Navia received his master’s degree in political science from the University of Chicago and his bachelor’s degree in political science and sociology from the University of Illinois. Navia is a Master Teacher of Global Studies in the General Studies Program and Associate Professor at the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies. In Chile, Navia is a political science professor at the Social Sciences Institute at the Universidad Diego Portales. He has authored several books, including “Las grandes alamedas. El Chile post Pinochet” (Mondadori, 2004). Navia is on the Academic Council for the Center for the Opening and Development of Latin America (CADAL).
