Anti-Semitism on Internet and freedom of expression

As several reports has warned, Internet has become the space where anti-Semitic expressions have most increased. Besides the use of social networks and publishing content on websites, discussion forums of media are used as platform for this kind of intolerant expressions. To discuss this issue, CADAL invited Ariel Seidler, Director of Observatorio Web Sergio Widder, Director for Latin America of the Simón Wiesenthal Center; and Sergio Danishewsky, Pro editor of the newspaper Clarín.

With Sergio Danishewsky, Ariel Seidler and Sergio Widder as guest speakers, CADAL’s Puente Democrático programme organized in the Auditorium of ADEPA the conference “Anti- Semitism on Internet and freedom of expression”. The meeting was moderated by Gabriel C. Gabriel, Director General of the Centro para la Apertura y el Desarrollo de América Latina (CADAL).

The conference started with a presentation of Ariel Seidler, Director of  Observatorio Web.

Then spoke Sergio Widder, Director of the Latin America of the Simón Wiesenthal Center.

Closing the conference was SergioDanishewsky, Pro editor of Clarín and member of the Central Editorial Board.
