Argentine intellectuals and chilean politicians analyzed the cuban reality

CADAL, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and Fundación Friedrich A. Von Hayek organized the International Conference ''Human Rights and International Commitment with the Democratic Opening in Cuba''.

On Tuesday, September 19, 2006 CADAL, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and Fundación Friedrich A. Von Hayek organized the International Conference "Human Rights and International Commitment with the Democratic Opening in Cuba" at a hotel in Buenos Aires. First, Ricardo Manuel Rojas, Judge, Director of Fundación Friedrich A. Von Hayek and author of the book "Fundamental Rights and the juridical and institutional order of Cuba" addressed the issue of "The Cuban legal system and its intrinsic violation of Human Rights".

The subject of "Cuba: The black area for journalism in Latin America" was addressed by Fernando J. Ruiz, Professor of Communications College at Universidad Austral and author of the book "Another Crack in the Wall: Report and Testimonies of the New Cuban Press".

Finally, the lectures were commented by Carlos Facal, Chairman of Poder Ciudadano Foundation; Fernando Iglesias, writer and author fo the book "Qué significa hoy ser de izquierda" and founder of "Democracia Global"; and Jaime Malamud Goti, Jurist and one of the authors of the judicial process against the leaders of Argentine military dictatorship.
